Well what a day - Thursday

Today the MICM man was coming, he was going to go through the house issues that the lady from MICM had reaised a few weeks ago, so we were all up reasonably early and needed to be tidy. We all seem to have different variations of tidy, I told Moo to tidy her room and anything on her floor would go in the bin,

While sorting I noticed someone looking at the house, I watched them from our bedroom for a while, and they walked towards to the house. They introduced themselves as Sue and I think it was Nic, and they have exactly the same house as ours at the top of the street She went on to explain that they are the owners and have flown in from Perth which is where they are living now to complete the home inspection and had no idea what to look for and what sort of things had we found. I explained that we were the tenants but still showed them round the house and the things we had found that were wrong. They were really chatty and said they were looking forward to moving back from Perth and didn’t actually anything nice to say about Perth really, the good news is that they have a 17 year old who will hopefully get on with Tom. They seemed really nice and noticed a bottle of red that Jason hadn’t finished (not like Jason I know) and talked about getting together for a few crates of wine when they move in, they sound like our kind of couple.

Dean from maintenance eventually came and we went round the problems some of them he fixed but others he is going to have to make arrangements for a specific tradie to come along and fix.

Mollie assured me that she had tidied her bedroom and if you just looked from the door it certainly did look tidy, BUT when I went into her bedroom I noticed that all she had done was shift everything that was on the floor under the bed so it was not as obvious. I lost it with her, put everything that was on the floor in a dustbin bag and put it straight into the dustbin while Mollie was hysterical in the background, I have told her before that I am soo fed up of having to tell her, usually I just leave it and make her tidy up, but we can’t afford to have things on the floor here, we need to be able to see what is on the floor. I was furious and hope that she has been taught a valuable lesson and the next time I tell her to tidy her room and that anything on the floor will go in the bin that she will believe me. It was a waste as I did throw some nice and good toys away, but she had to learn, she is old enough to understand and should know better.

I ironed, made leek and potato soup and that was the day

I most certainly did !!!, she was beside herself but her bedroom has been spotless since :-) What she doesn't know is that the bag is in a corner of the garage and I will put things away over the next couple of weeks in her room and see if she notices.
