Wash Day Tuesday

As Anna has booked to see Katie in Brisbane from Wednesday until Friday, she does not have much time left here in Melbourne and we knew she was keen to re-visit the city to do some shopping. As Sam and Moo are at school and Tom starts TAFE today, then I could not go into the CBD, due to school runs etc, well I could, but we wouldn’t have had that much time.

Anna was up early with Jason and caught the bus and train with him into the city leaving the house at 6.45 and arriving in Melbourne just after 8.30. She had a good wander and found a few shops she liked, although she was very good with what she bought and came home with much less than I thought.

I had a wash day, and even used the tumble dryer to get some things dry, even though the sun was shining they were working on the house next door and there is no point in trying to hang any washing out, as the line is right next to the fence with next door. I called at Peppa’s a for quick coffee, I haven’t seen her for some time and we had lots to catch up on, I left and had to go straight to school for Moo and Sam. I started tea then set off to pick everyone up, Jason had left early and was due into Frankston with Anna at 5.30 and Tom had finished early too.

Tom’s first day at TAFE was not quite as we had hoped, he is the youngest in the class by quite a few years, the next youngest being 24 and the oldest are older than Jason. He had orientation first, a maths test then onto the computers, but it wasn’t what he thought. I am sure this week is not going to be easy, they will let them settle in gently, and I am sure next week will be different, hopefully he will stick it out long enough to see what he really thinks. I also think he will start to make other friends on different courses nearer his own age eventually, as he gets to know others.
