Tuesday

Well today was trying to get back to normal, it was really strange not having Anna here, you get used to someone being about. After taking Tom to TAFE and dropping Moo and Sam at school, I caught up with washing, I do need to wash every day or it takes me days to catch up, it is the drying which is the hardest as they are still working on the outside of the house next door I can’t use the washing line, so everything has to be inside and I have resorted to using the tumble dryer.

After lunch Hayley came to call and we set off to Karingal to a wholesale meat distributor who sells direct to the public too, they also sell veg, fruit and bread, and the bread is cheaper than Tullys. As I did a shop last Friday I didn’t need anything but know now for next time and will definitely go again, it was really great value for money, the meat looked lovely and there was sooo much choice it was unbelievable, you can buy a full scotch fillet joint for $30.00 that’s £15.00. Can’t wait for BBQ season, although we do need to save for a BBQ t cook on. Even though I didn’t need anything I bought a large chicken and also a marinated joint of beef to take to Lesley’s on Saturday night.

We then went for coffee and cake, I was good and had a piece of carrot cake, but it had pecans in so Millie had to share Hayley’s Muffin.

After the school run I cooked the chicken and some roast potatoes, while Anna has been here we have eaten lots of pasta as it was easy as she is a vegetarian, last night Tom said he was sick of pasta and can we have some proper meals, I asked like what and he just said some meat. We haven’t had a roast chicken since we left the UK, the ones I have seen were far too small and I would have needed two and they were also very expensive, but this one will be Ok for us all tonight and a good price too.

Jason was at football tonight and I was invited round to Peppa’s for a drink with her and Kim who is now back from a visit to the UK, long story but basically don’t rent your house out!. We were home just before 10 as Jason was smelly after football and needed a shower.
