Thursday,

I was shattered again this morning, I do not know how the koala bears managed to stay in the trees last night, it was sooooo windy, the balcony doors rattle in extreme wind, so they rattled all last night, the fly screens rattle too, so we had Moo get in with us about 5 as she was upset by the noise of the wind and the rattling of the screens against the glass, I have to admit I thought the windows were going to come through more than once, it just goes to show, they have some of the same weather we had in the UK here too.

When Jason left for work he told me that Anna had text and has booked flights, so its official we have our first visitor arriving very soon and hope that more of you will come and visit soon too, or wait until September when the weather gets better, which would be my plan. We need to sort out Buster to come then my mum and dad can look at flights too for over Christmas and my birthday of course.

We now need to start planning for her visit and get the things done that I was going to do over the 2 week school holidays next week instead, so we are ready for when she arrives the week after. Sam has been picked for the rugby team and we need to buy boots, shin pads etc for him, Moo needs new shoes, but they can wear trainers to school so I think I might look for something like that, which will hopefully last longer than 6 weeks, it isn’t that she grows out of them, ohh no she just wrecks them in that 6 weeks, in fact they are wreaked after 2 weeks, but I insist she wears them until they are really falling apart then buy new.

I don’t think Anna would be too impressed coming all this way and buying school shoes and rugby boots with me and the kids. I mentioned that she might be coming to Hayley who is only a spring chicken too (24), and she is already up for a girls night out in Mornington, we agreed that Frankston is far too frightening. Jason is also going to book a couple of days of work, so we can have a long weekend which will be good.

I called round at Peppa’s to see how Finnegan was doing, he is well considering what the poor boy must have gone through and also Peppa with the shock. I had a quick coffee, before meeting up with Hayley, we dropped some forms at Mount Eliza Secondary College for Sam’s enrolment, and then I took Hayley to Tully’s and the Veg Shed, she hasn’t been to either and has been here nearly 2 years, she was very impressed with my finds and will go again in the future. When I picked Jason up we went to Dan Murphy’s and spent $75.00 on 16 bottles of wine including some pink and normal sparking for when Anna arrives, OK its only the cheap stuff we are buying but it tastes OK and I liked Lindeman’s in the UK, so why not drink it here too, it being cheap is an added bonus.

Thursday night was round to Gail’s with the lovely ladies I have met, there was Gail (obviously), Lesley, Sally, Angie and Karen, we had a good laugh, but only a couple of glasses of wine as I was driving, both Gail and Sally live within walking distance, but there are no lights on Craigie Road and also hardly any footpath and I didn’t fancy walking in the grass in the dark, don’t know what you might step on, when they finish building on here and open Martha’s Ridge Drive that will be a better walk for me and all downhill too so that's a bonus.
