Soup Kitchen

Soup Kitchen

Friday morning was Aldi shopping, just less than $200, but I did get lots of things so should be Ok for a while, and I washed, we had lots of washing, Mollie had tidied her room so we now know what was under her bed.

Hayley then came round and we made soup, she bought a soup pack yesterday and wasn’t sure what to do with it, it is also harder or her to cook with Millie, so we did it together. Hayley made roasted cream of veg soup, while I did a Courgette and Parmesan soup and also a Roasted Butter nut squash soup. Like most things here, soup is expensive, but I am now getting quite good at making my own.

Sam and Mollie finished school early today as they have now broken up for the 2 week winter break, Mollie went with Poppy to Peppa’s and Mackenzie came here, he is going to stay for tea and as maple syrup was on special at Aldi today, I will make sticky sausages as a treat, when Sam found out he asked if Mackenzie could join us, as he has told him all about my famous sticky sausages.

Jason had intended going out into Mornington with Paul and I was going to have a wine or 2 with Hayley, but Jason was shattered, we just seem to have had a tiring week, and Paul is now working tomorrow, as we have been cooking all day, and we now have Mackenzie it was agreed that Hayley and Paul would come here for tea, I would do sausages and Hayley would buy the pudding. Hayley wasn’t sure about sausages cooked in maple syrup but she loved them.

We had a lovely evening with Hayley and Paul and a few beers and wine, well Paul, Jason and I did, Hayley is pregnant and only has a glass of wine when eating being the good girl that she is, the new baby is due just before Christmas and we have been warned that she will be back on form for Christmas.
