We have mentioned more than once that it is currently Autumn and that Winter is only about 3 days away now, the weather in the week and a half that we have been here has been lovely, a bit like a spring day in the UK, we have been comfortable wearing shorts, linen cropped pants, t shirts and when a little cooler our fleece tops, which has usually been in the evening. Now this is where it is a little strange, all the tourists are in shorts, t shirts with a fleece either around waist or shoulders and there are lots of tourists as I am sure you can imagine and you can spot them .
Now the Australians, it is Autumn and we are coming into Winter so they are wearing dark winter colours, which is fair enough, but they are also wearing hats, coats and gloves, how they haven’t melted in the heat I do not know, OK it is not red hot, but nor is it freezing either and when I say coats, I mean coats that I would have worn in the UK in the winter, now this isn’t everyone, but I would say that over 50% of the Ozzies I have seen are wearing clothes from their winter wardrobe, luckily I brought a scarf with me, looks like I am going to have to start wearing it so I don’t look as much like a tourist.
You will have noticed a distinct lack of Tom in the photos that is because he is way too cool for photo’s and as he is “a local” now can’t be seen having his picture taken like a tourist and not a local.
