Sunday 6th April

It is now 12.32 UK time and 21.32 Oz time, kids are in bed and so are we. We are shattered still !!! Jason and I were up early this morning, but left the kids to sleep, it was only when it got to 11 o clock that we thought it was best to wake them. After breakfast we got dressed and had another walk to the South Bank and also Federation Square, Mollie wearing a sundress and sandals, Jason and I in 3/4 pants and t shirts, Tom in his regimental jeans pulled half way down his bottom so you can see most of his undies and a t shirt and Sam in long pants and a t shirt, in an attempt to copy his big brother - it has been nice and warm in the sun, but a little cool when in the shade.

We are still getting our bearings, Jason seems to know where we are going but I still have NO idea. We came back to the apartment for a rest and a sandwich for an hour at about 2.30, and at 4 went back out and had a tour of the city on the City Tram which lasted about 45 mins. Quite interesting, some lovely sights and lots of people about, we were all really surprised how busy it was today, not sure if it was the weather or just what happens on a Sunday. Yesterday was like a ghost town in comparison to today. The restaurants were really busy, the pavement cafes full, there was a really great atmopshere, also there was another Ozzy rules match this afternoon and lots of people were heading towards that.

Melbourne CBD

Melbourne Southbank

We then came back to the apartment and had the salmon and some salad we bought at the market yesterday, kids played on the Wii and we made a plan for tomorrow.

We have to go to Australian immigration to have our visas validated, we also need to go to Medicare and request our cards and Jason needs to go back to the airport to collect our unaccompanied case. It is our intention at this moment in time to get up early and go straight to immigration, then medicare tomorrow morning and Jason can then get the case while I do our first batch of washing - so much for thinking I was on holiday. But watch this space as getting up is something that we are not good with.

Hey guys!!!
Woweee its been great so far! Glad to hear you all arrived fine, when do you get your puppy back?
I can barely read the last few days progress, the moving, flying, delays gargh! too much. I much prefer reading about the melbourne side of it! Sounds great!!
Hope Molly, Sam and Tom are enjoying it.
check out our progress at www.hoboholiday.blogspot.com. I'm slowly working out the kinks of posting photos in blogs and getting a slideshow to work. (I see jason uses Picasa, I posted from Photobucket and as it didn't recognise my feed I had to input it using html then chop it up in source to get it to fit!)
Do you guys mind if I put a link to your site on mine?
Well best be off to the bottle shop for another box of goon!

Hi Ryan and Kate

It is soo good to hear from you, puppy won't be here until we find somewhere to live and after going house hunting yesterday is oin to be harder than we thought, a few compromises need to be made me thinks :-)

Will have a read of your blog now, its only 7.12 but Jason has had to go and take our hire car back so I am up early and was going to update our blog but it looks like you have just given me a distraction.

Of course you can put a link to our blog on your site, we will do the same with yours too.

We are struggling with photos, which is unfortunate as we have a couple of good ones.

Kids are great and loving it so far.

Glad we are not the only ones obsessed with the bottle shop, but we are on boxes of Ozzie wine !!!

Take Care
Love
