It didn’t take us long to get to from the airport to our serviced accommodation, which is an apartment in the city, but they come in and clean everyday just like a hotel. We are on the 12th floor, and have 2 bedrooms and a bed settee in the living room. On arrival we had roses, a fruit bowl, sweets for the children, muesli, cookies, lettuce, tomatoes, bread, cheese, milk, orange juice, beer and wine and a note welcoming us to Australia from Janet at SMS.
We had a quick look on email, once Jason had found an unsecure network and Jason checked his phone messages, to seems we now have 2 viewings on Saturday, how great is that, but won’t get too excited.
We unpacked and tried to figure out where we would put all our things, but managed and then after having a quick bath or shower each (we stunk) went for a walk, wearing our ¾ trousers, t shirts and zipper tops, that was it. It was a cloudy day, but when the sun came out quite warm. We bought a pay as you go mobile phone and some more cough medicine as Mollie just didn’t seem to be getting any better, we then found Victoria Market http://www.qvm.com.au/home.php, it was really busy, much busier than I expected, we didn’t really have the patience for it, just bought what we needed food wise to see us through the first couple of days. We then went to Subway for lunch, which is the same the world over, full of people who’s English is a second or third language so you cannot understand them, nor can then understand you so you get all sorts on your sandwich. We won’t be rushing back.
The onto IGA which is a supermarket for the essentials we will need, we looked like gypsies walking back through the city to our apartment with all our carrier bags. We were shattered at this point, felt really light headed and a little unwell. Jason and I feel asleep on the bed, while the kids were playing in the Wii, when we woke they were all asleep too, we all had another hours sleep then had to get up, we didn’t want to but knew that we wouldn’t sleep through the night if we didn’t.

It was cooler outside so long pants and our jackets came out and we had a walk to Federation Square and on the Southbank, I am not convinced that Sam was fully awake, he kept just shutting his eyes and was talking gibberish more than usual. We found a food court and had something to eat, not a lot as we were just too tired. Poor Sam and Mollie you could tell they were tired, they just kept shutting their eyes, no-one had a great deal to say so it was back to the apartment and in bed for about 8 o clock, I think everyone was unconscious by 8.01.
We get longer in bed tonight as our clocks go back an hour tonight ready for Winter.
