Ohh what a night

We had a fab evening with Mitch and Maggie, Jason got to talk football and Maggie and I talked about the move, where we should look for mobile phones and cheap furniture to put us on until ours arrives, they have been here 7 weeks so are a couple of weeks ahead of us. We were the last to leave the pub, and went back to their apartment. Now they are in the same building, but it is not the same, we are in the apart - hotel bit of the building, which is great as the cleaner comes in every day, she even washes up for me, how cool is that, but they are in a private rented apartment which are on the top 2 floors of the building. It is lovely and the views are spectacular, even in the dark, they have floor to ceiling picture windows, Jason had to sit down as he said it made him feel funny, personally I think it was the pints he had been drinking. We didn’t have that many, may be 4 or 5 drinks, and those of you who know Jason and I, know that is nothing, but we really haven’t been drinking that much and what we have been drinking is only about 2% alcohol, so I think it was that, in all honesty I feel a bit rough this morning, and after 4 or 5 halves of Carlton Cold, it shouldn’t make me feel this bad, I can see a MacDonald’s breakfast coming on.

Back to the apartment, it has 2 bedrooms and is on a corner, so they have views out to the coast and also inland too, we will be going back to take pics for you of the views. Now while we were there, they asked if we had seen the hourly flames, we had no idea what they were talking about, it turns out that each evening from about 6 onwards (when it is dark) there is a flame show on the Southbank, we were able to watch the midnight one from their apartment it was amazing, the kids are will love it, so guess where we will be going tonight at 6.45, ready for the 7 o clock showing.

When we got back to our apartment, we spoke to mum and dad and Andy and Jane on Skype and will do so again tonight.
