We have decided to reduce the price of the house again, it started at offers over £475,000, we then reduced to £469,995, asked for offers and advertised being motivated sellers, we are now priced “to sell” at £450,000, well we can live in hope. The likelihood of our getting less than this is quite high, but it may motivate some viewings as we have had a distinct shortage of these. Apparently someone is interested but they are speaking to a financial advisor to ensure they can afford it before they come and look, we are not getting too excited, in fact we are not excited at all, then won’t be disappointed when they are told they can’t afford it and don’t then come and look. Also another house has come on the market and that one is priced at £360,000 WHAT, that is sooo cheap and only £30,000 more than they paid for it 2.5 years ago. It is smaller and not in as good a position but the £90,000 difference is a lot of money for anyone who is looking to buy a family home.
We are still getting rid of things and have decided to empty our spare room, which will then be a no shipping room and we can put cases and things we intend to take with us on the flights in there. We are currently watching the weather forecast for a dry day to borrow dad’s wagon and move the sofa’s from the spare room and summer house to cousin Emma’s who is going to have them and our CD racks. We have been at the tip and charity shops again this week dropping things off, but still have a long way to go.
