Well Buster will be coming to Oz with us, we have instructed Jets4Pets who are in Yeadon, he will be driven to Heathrow rather than flown down, so he can have a walk and food before they put him in the crate, he will then fly to Melbourne with one stop off somewhere, can’t imagine he will be bothered as once he is sealed in the crate, it cannot be opened until he arrives at Spotswood Quarantine station in Melbourne. Jets4Pets will now apply for a permit, which can take anything from 7 to 21 days to receive. Once we have the permit we can apply for a place in quarantine and also a date for him to fly, we won’t do that though until we have a date for us to fly. The Jets4Pets quote is £1971.88, this excludes the vets bill for blood tests which will be approx £500.00 and also approx $800 (£400) for quarantine costs and £185 for him to be driven to Heathrow – a total of approx £3056.88. We estimated £3500, so if we can come in under that – Great! We still need to find a new home for Ben though.
We still haven’t responded to SMS with flight dates, but will have to do that this week.
No news on the house, no more viewings which is quite upsetting, getting a little disappointed with the estate agent as we thought we would have had more viewings than we have, we know they have had phone call enquiries, but they don’t seem to have converted these into viewings.
