Monday / Tuesday....... First days of school hols

Well Monday was a typical first day of the school holidays, it rained, really rained, in fact it was that windy and the rain that hard that we sprouted another leak in the study roof. We didn’t do much due to the weather. I had lunch with Peppa and caught up with her which was good, I brought McKenzie home with me and he played on the X Box with Sam, Tom and Jack and then slept over. Jack didn’t stay again, he went home after we’d had tea. Jack likes his food and I think he liked the idea of a nice roast chicken dinner.

Tuesday was better weather wise, Peppa came to pick McKenzie up and took Moo home with her to play with Poppy and the babies. I still haven’t heard about my police check and this has given me time to think. Jason has advised that to get to Caulfield on the train I would need to get the 5.44 train, which would mean leaving here at 5.15 and getting up about 4.30...............I think not!!! Not only from my perspective but from the Kids and Jason. Jason was not able to support while I was in Mt Waverly due to his work commitments, so he cannot be relied on for this and I cannot expect one of my friends to have the kids for me from such an un-godly hour, and then afterschool, I also cannot expect the kids to function the whole day after getting up in the middle of the night.

So I emailed the Domain by the Bay which is our local Aged Care Facility, it is 2 minutes from the kids school and means I can leave here at 6.45 and be there to start work at 7, it is that close, anyhow the great news is that they will have me, I spoke with them Tuesday afternoon and am going to meet them on Wednesday with all my course material and the assessment booklet that they will need to complete.
