Sunday Trish, Mark and the girls came to us, they have a busy few weeks coming up as they have Trish’s niece coming to stay soon too so this was an ideal chance for us to get together. We spoke on Thursday night and just agreed that they would be at ours by 12 on Sunday and we would then agree what to do, the weather has been up and down recently and I didn’t want to make specific plans until we knew what the weather was going to be like. It was sunny but windy, when they arrived we had a coffee and the girls played on the Wii, we then decided to have a walk round Mornington and left Sam and Mackenzie watching a DVD, the girls on the Wii and Tom supervising while on the X-Box. It was lovely, we saw Angie and Kerry, not together, bought some bits in the sale walked to the beach and on the pier then back for lunch. We had antipasto starter, beef and chicken breasts, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli and string beans, then ice cream, apple tart and chocolate tart.
Just as we were finishing tea, Peppa came to collect Sam and Mackenzie who she was taking to see the new Indiana Jones movie in Rosebud, she also invited Tom along too, as it is very new where we live her sat nav didn’t work initially, she asked Tom which way to go and he told her not to ask him as he hasn’t been out for 3 months, which is about right and she found highly amusing.
We had a lovely chat with Mark and Trish and a few glasses of wine, well apart from poor Trish who was driving, the girls played lovely, they left and Gail rang and we set a race date, to go to Mornington Races next month. Peppa arrived back with the boys and she had a glass of wine and after a chat about photos (She’s a professional photographer) Jason down loaded something for her (let’s hope it works) and went home.
We have had a lovely weekend with sunshine and high’s of 15 o C (59 o F) not bad for the middle of winter (similar to Halifax’s temperature of 17 o C, 62.5 o F, but you have had heavy rain according to the BBC and it is the middle of your summer, not that we are rubbing it in or anything).
