Parents Review Day

Tuesday, Moo and Sam were off school as it was parents review day, I made some biscuits and we had a clean round, Sally popped in as I had left my jacket at hers last week, we both then popped round to Lesley’s who picked up the keys to her new home yesterday, it is beautiful, really beautiful, I can’t wait to see it with furniture and have offered our services for the 4th / 5th and 6th July when they will be moving in. Then home for lunch and a quick job search before setting off to Frankston to get Jason from the station, he had left work early to come to the review day with us.

First review was Mollie who’d had a glowing report, Miss Dawes said that she’d had a good start, but needed to talk less, nothing new there then, all Mollies reports say that she talks too much, but she needs to knuckle down to achieve the desired standard by the end of the year, which is December, so she is having to cram in 12 months work in 9 months, and therefore needs to concentrate and talk less, hummm not sure if she can manage that, in her mock Brit, American, Aussie bizarre accent she seems to have acquired – she sounds really strange and we keep telling her to talk properly, but she is just trying to copy the accent of the other kids at school, so we shouldn’t complain.

Then onto Miss Wallace who is Sam’s teacher (Hi Trish) she advised that Sam has fitted in really well, is a delight, which Sam is and he is trying hard, we then talked about our blog which Trish reads on a weekly basis to see what we have been up to.

We had a busy email evening on Tuesday, we received a text and then an email from my cousin Anna asking if she could visit, on the 8th July, this year, that’s in 2 weeks, for a couple of weeks, she is going to look at flights and potentially be our first official oversees visitor who has not moved here. It will be great having her and showing her around, our only worry is getting her back on the flight home, she knows this is a worry, we have been honest and told her, she will love it, we know. We had better start stocking up on the pink fizzy we know she likes, let’s hope she can get a reasonable flight as they seem to have increased in price.
