Monday Tom and I went shopping, food from Tully’s, herb plants from Linton’s our Local garden centre, plant pots from Bunning’s and some college stuff for Tom at office works, not very interesting.
Tuesday morning I babysat for Hayley, who had tooth ache and needed an emergency dental appointment, she mentioned to me on Monday that she was going and I asked her what she was going to do with Millie, Hayley was going to take Millie with her as Paul was working and she had no one else, the joys of being so far from your close family and friends. Millie is adorable and soo good, and was quite happy to sit and play for an hour while Hayley went to the dentist and ended up having one of her wisdom teeth out, I have never known anyone smile as much after being at the dentist so she must have been in lots of pain beforehand. Over here you have to pay for dental treatment and it cost her $270 just to have the tooth pulled, she has to go back next week for a full check up and that’s going to cost over $200. After lunch we went into Mornington as I had a list of things I needed to get, and we had cake and coffee kindly paid for by Hayley so I owe her one.
That same evening I had been invited to Peppa’s for supper and she had invited a few other ladies too, they obviously do this regularly and had lots to catch up on, but it was great trying to keep up with all the conversations which were going on, it was a laugh and a lovely supper. I was home quite late about 12.40, but I was good and only had one glass of wine and drove, not like me at all, I know. But I am trying to make a good impression.
Wednesday, not sure how as I was shattered, but I was up ready for the school run and to get ready for today’s outing to Berwick to the Expats Book Club, books are very expensive over here so it is cheaper to share them than buy new or even second hand. (anyone that visits, please note that conditions of your stay will be that any books you bring will be confiscated when you leave) So after being picked up by Kim, with my one book we headed to a cafe in Berwick, and guess what we had, that’s right coffee and cake, again I tried to follow the conversations and answered all the questions, but had a great time and even better came away with 2 books, ok I will have to give them back at the next meeting in 6 weeks, but in the meantime have 2 books to read, not sure I have the time now with all the coffee and cake bookings I have, but I will try.
Right off to bed now, am shattered, after a late night and too many cakes.

Aunty Anon
I Know, thank goodness we don't have any scales, think I would be a bit shocked, on saying that everything is in kilos over here and I have no idea what I was in kilos so perhaps it won't matter :-)
