St Kilda for Brunch

Once again we didn’t rush to get up, once we were all ready we set off to the tram stop which would take us to St Kilda (http://www.melbourne.com.au/stkilda.htm), we had been told by the information lady yesterday that there was a market on Sundays and it was a great place for Sunday brunch. It was much cooler today, the sun was shining but it was quite windy, also St Kilda is right on the coast so it probably felt cooler. We had a look at the market, then wandered down the main street to find somewhere for brunch.

It was so busy, people were even sat at the outside tables, we wanted to be inside, we eventually found somewhere with space, Jason and I had the Sunday Special Big Breakfast which was 2 eggs as you like them, bacon, sausage, hash brown, tomato and Turkish bread, Moo had a bacon and egg sandwich, Sam his usual chicken burger and Tom again his usual pizza, that boy is going to look like pizza, the kids had juice and Jason and I shared a jug of beer. It was delicious, I had heard that the bacon and sausages were not the same, but this was lovely, Tom’s pizza was huge, I do not know how he ate it all, when I asked if he would be eating tea, I was reassured that he wouldn’t be eating anything else for a couple of days he was that full.

We then wandered back along the beach so David Bailey could take more shots and then the tram back into the city, the kids were desperate to get back to see what we had missed from the movie which they are still shooting, we got back to see the explosion bit, with ambulances and fire engines and lots of smoke. The kids are now sat at the dining table chairs which have been moved in front of the windows so they can get a good view.

Don’t think we will be doing much more today, Jason needs to be ready for work tomorrow and we are all shattered – must have been the sea air, although we were late in bed last night as we were on Skype message with Suzy and Nick (Happy Birthday for yesterday chick), until just after 10, then we went to bed – sad yes we know.

PS - DON'T FORGET TO CLICK ON THE PICS TO MAKE THEM BIGGER AND COMMENTS ARE APPRECIATED, MAKES US FEEL NOT THAT FAR AWAY FROM YOU ALL xxxxxx.

Hi Shelley

I am sure it is completely different, they do look different when you look at pictures, I still love the look of Brisbane. It is good and the trams are great for getting about.

We have 5 plastic plates, bowls, knives and forks, 2 pans, my salad spinner, tin and bottle opener and some wooden spoons. Been to Big W today and found some beach chairs for $8 each so will be buying 4 of those too :-)

The kids are really happy, lets see what happens when they get to school though.

Will sent you a longer message on facebook
