Jason was up bright and early for his first day at work, I got up and made him coffee and toast, he didn’t seem nervous at all, although a bit sweaty at one point as we didn’t have the air con on, and he was trussed up in suit, shirt and tie.
I had stacks of washing to do, so headed off to the laundry room with Sam and Moo in tow so they could have a swim, the washing took ages, well I had enough to fill two washers, but the kids had a great swim and were the only ones in, so had the pool and spa all to themselves. I didn’t realise but there is also a sauna down there too.
By the time the washing was finished and they’d had showers and were dressed the morning was over, so back to the room for a sandwich before going to the bank, to pick up my bank card, change pin number and deposit some money. Then onto the supermarket, we were very good as we do need to carry whatever we buy back to the hotel, although we could have got a little more as I only had one carrier bag whereas the kids had 2. After putting that away we set off in the other direction to Krispy Krème (YES Nick the same as in America), we bought 10, which was 2 each and got 2 free, the kids also had a hot chocolate.
It was now nearer 4 o clock and I wanted to be organised for Jason coming home from work, so back to the apartment where I was going make mashed sweet potato, sweet corn and sausages for tea. I had everything prepared and then pulled out some of the info booklets we had picked up to look at places for the kids and I to go while Jason was working.
I had the hob fan going, but thought I could hear some dripping, couldn’t see anything so ignored it thinking I was just hearing things, it then seemed to get louder so I followed the sound to our bathroom and found water coming through the ceiling, I moved all the clothes which won’t tumble dry and were hanging in there drying (there is a clothes line) and called reception, Jason arrived home just before the man from maintenance appeared, we had turned the light off as the shade was full of water, when they tried to turn it back on all the electrics went. They knew straight away it was something to do with the apartment upstairs and left us to go and try and sort that out, they then came back and used our phone to ring reception and tell them to ring and bang on the door of the upstairs room to get the occupant out of the bath, as there must be some sort of leak. We sat for about an hour and Jason talked about work, (I will let him tell you about that) but the electric hob and electric breville were not working, so tea was no longer cooking and it was getting darker, they had a very long extension lead and were attempting to dry out the electrics with a hair dryer so we decided to go and eat out, we found a nice curry place, which was very expensive, but rather nice. When we got back it was all sorted and we had electric again and no water coming through the roof in the bathroom.

Hi Aunty Wendy and Anna
I know I couldn't believe it, everything is back to normal and hopefully who ever is up stairs has been told not to have a bath. Think Jason preferred the curry to the sausages and mash, we had it last night though warmed up and it was OK. Tonight is pasta, nice and easy with the facilities we have.
xxxxxx
