Jason and I had a night out last night (Friday), we met about 10 other expats in a pub in the city, it was a pleasant evening, but it was a busy pub and difficult to hear people, we just sat smiling and nodding politley. It turns out one of them lives in our apartment block in a rental, she and I have been invited out next Saturday by one of the other ladies for pizza, will go along and hopefully meet some more. It was good just to get out and speak to someone other than just us.
We were woken up this morning by quite a lot of noise which we thought was strange for a Saturday morning, and we are 12 floors up, they are filming a movie called "Knowing" in the street right outside our apartment, so in between typing this we are looking out of the window watching Nicolas Cage, apparently they will be filming again tomorrow . The streets have been renamed and dressed to mimic a New York state suburb in the autumn. Jason has been out and got as close as he could to take some pics but the security people didn't allow him to get too close. He has also read the general description of the movie on the internet and it sounds like more of a guy film than a chick flick, you can make your own mind up by reading http://www.empiremovies.com/index.php?id=21787
