Busters Arrival and Toms birthday

Today was going to be a busy day we knew that before it had even started, Jason and I were up and off at 7.30 to go round to Spotswood on the East side of Melbourne, we arrived at 9, signed into AQIS, and were greeted by a lovely lady who told us what a delight Buster had been and what a lovely dog he was. First stop after signing his release papers was the stock shed to pick up his crate, but by this time, he had seen us and was sat crying in his run. He was shaking and desperate to get out, he was straight to the car when his pen was opened as if to say get me out of here. He refused to sit in the back for the car for the nearly 2 hour journey home, and sat on my knee the whole way. We rang when we were 10 minutes away to ensure that the kids were up, we put the car in the garage and kept the dog in the car in the dark, Jason then shouted Tom and told him his birthday present was in the car, by this time we had let the dog into the garage, Tom opened the door to the garage and Buster just ran out to greet the kids, who were so excited, I wish we’d had the video camera handy. He was just soo happy to see everyone.

We then had a very quick Skype call with my mum and dad before Jason and Tom set of to Cranbourne to pick up Toms grandma, Jackie. While they were out, Katie, Ryan and I started getting the food out ready for people arriving after 2 . When Jason and Tom got back, Tom opened his cards and presents and we then all had a quick sandwich for lunch.
It was a lovely day weather wise, we had people arriving from 2 until 5, and the last group left about 11.30, it was a great day, everyone had a great time, but we didn’t take any pics, we had about 35 people in total and had a good laugh, we were able to sit out until 11.30, first time we have been able to do so this year so that was good.

Sunday morning we were up and did Toms paper round, we then dropped Jackie off in Cranbourne before lunch and then heading into Mornington for the music, food and wine festival, we saw most of our friends so that was nice and spent time with Peppa, Owen and Kids, before they all came back to ours for another BBQ with some of the left over foods.
