The Weekend

Friday

We covered Quality Assurance, ACFI Documentation, Care Plans, Leadership, Communication and Other Competencies.

It was another good day, we were able to finish the course early today so that we could go and buy ourselves what we needed for the placement. I managed to get quite a nice white short sleeved blouse which I will probably wear again, I also bought some lovely non slip, black leather flat shoes, they are the ones with the cushioned insoles for extra comfort, not quite what I am used to but needs must and they were the nicest that I could find.

Friday night we had takeaway Pizza before heading off to Gail and Pauls who were having computer problems, we had lovely couple of hours with them and the kids and a bottle of wine too.

Saturday was such a busy day, we were up and put washing on the line to dry before heading to Aldi for a huge food shop in the hope that we don’t have to go every week, then back here to put it away, take the first lot of washing off the line and the second lot on. We then picked Tom up from Jacks in Mt Eliza, went into Frankston to Dan Murphy’s, the school uniform shop to get the kids there hats which are compulsory from October and then Karingal for meat, we came back and put everything away and did more washing, good job it was hot so it was drying very quickly.

We spoke briefly to Hayley who was getting into her spa it was that warm and asked if we wanted to join them, but we were just too busy.

We then set off to look for some trousers with pockets for me, but with no success. On our way back we called to see Owen and Peppa, Owen was bitten by a white tail spider (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White-tailed_spider) about a week ago and has had some form of allergic reaction to the venom, he has the biggest and nastiest sore I have ever seen, and is on his second lot of antibiotics, apparently it is getting better, but having only seen it just the once yesterday I dread to think what it was like when it first happened. On the bright side he showed the kids, and explained that white tails get into clothes which have been left on the floor, needless to say both Sam and Moo’s floors are currently spotless, as is mine, Jason is the one who could be in trouble if we were to get them, but hopefully we won’t as we bomb.

Anyhow we stayed with them for something to eat which was pleasant and had a catch up as I haven’t seen Peppa all week. The evening was going well, the babies in bed, Sam and McKenzie playing on their DS’s and Moo and Poppy watching TV when Poppy went all hysterical and said there was a spider on her, it fell onto the floor from her pyjamas and when Peppa got to it, it was a white tail, she was lucky that she wasn’t bitten and that would have been really nasty on a child.

Sunday we finished our house hold jobs, Jason did a mound of ironing from all the washing yesterday, and I cleaned. After lunch I took Tom into Mornington as he wanted some shorts, well all the Ozzies are now wearing shorts and as he sees himself as an Ozzie he needed shorts too. I then met Jason and the kids in the park, Peppa, Owen, the kids and dog where there, Jason took Sam’s kite and they had fun flying that. They all needed to be out of the house as they were bombing to get rid of the white tails and anything else they might have in the house. We then just got everything ready for Monday morning and no doubt another busy week.
