The Brown B&B has vacancies...................for now

Well Katie and Ryan left this morning for the next stage of the road trip, the Great Ocean Road onto Adelaide, it is meant to be a beautiful drive with some lovely places to stop on the way, hopefully they will have more success over the next few days than the past couple of days. The weather has not been great for a start for them and their car broke down on Monday, but they got it fixed within the day which is good. It has been lovely having them here, we only really saw them over the weekend and on an evening though for a couple of hours by the time they got back. They were back quite late last night and just ate and went to bed so they had a rush this morning to pack everything, hence they left some things so will have to pop back at some point to pick them up, they are still threatening to come back this way for Christmas, but they seemed to have lots of other ideas too, so we will see. So we have vacancies but are getting booked up quite quickly, we have a weekend booking for later this month, the 5th to the 8th October is already a confirmed booking and a tentative but not yet confirmed booking from the 27th November to the 5th February.

As for life here, nothing much to update, Monday was washing as usual, Tuesday was paying my lay-by and a bit of shopping before going to see Millie who had her first birthday yesterday. Today is more washing and moving Sam back into his room, thankfully the sun is shining which will help dry everything. I am trying to get everything clean and tidy today, as I am seeing Katya and Poppy later today, I haven’t seen her for ages so that will be nice, having lunch with the girls at Gail’s tomorrow, Diane is coming here for lunch Friday, and I have been invited to Angie’s for Friday Afternoon Chardonnay Club, on Friday obvioulsy, so won’t be able to wash, clean and iron then.

Jason is away Friday night and will not be back until Saturday tea time, he is at a work conference, apparently SMS do not like to interfere too much with the client time, which is why this is booked for the weekend, but they seem to be quite happy to interfere with family time instead. But there is nothing we can do, as Jason has pointed out we need SMS for the visa and they know that, so when they say jump he has to ask how high. Now if we had PR and didn’t need them it would be different, I am not impressed as you can probably imagine from reading this.
