Weekly re-cap

Monday as usual was spent catching up with cleaning and washing and ironing.

Tuesday I went for a walk in the Briars National Park with Sally and her golden retriever dog Bronson, he was a little naughty and very like Buster in the obedience stakes, in that he completely ignores you. We then had coffee and cheesecake at her house, before back here for more washing, preparing for Ryan and Katie’s arrival. They are Strawberry Bandits on a road trip from Queensland, to Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and from here they are travelling the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide.

Wednesday I made soup, Leek and Potato, Roasted butternut squash and Chilli and Corgette and Parmesan. Then Hayley and Millie arrived, we had a coffee, chat and some of my home made Leek and Potato soup, I am getting very good at making soup even if I do say so myself. After lunch I called at Peppas and had a quick coffee with her, Diane and also met Di’s friend Natalie for the first time, she is an Irish lady and every other word was a swear word, it was amazing listening to her, she was really very funny with her swearing and accent and seemed really nice. Wednesday night Katie and Ryan arrived they weren’t sure what time they were going to get here so it was just bacon and eggs for tea, quick and easy, I let the kids stay up a little later so they could see them when they got here.

Thursday Marianne came here for lunch, we are very alike and for someone I have only met a couple of times, we get on really well, she arrived at 10.30 and left just after 2 to get Libby from kinder before getting Josh from school. We had my home made roast butternut squash and chilli soup and it is delicious. Jason was late home tonight, he had to go to a results presentation at work and didn’t get back until 9.30.
