Rush, Rush, Rush

Well once again the day did not go quite as planned. I got up, dropped Tom in Frankston at 8.20, and Sam and Moo at school at 8.45, then home, where I did more washing and sorted the dishwasher. I then sorted myself out and got dressed, I do like the Aussie laid back way of life and doing the school run in my PJ’s and flip flops seems to becoming the norm at the moment.

I then set of down the Moorooduc to Rosebud and Aldi. This week’s specials were Nando’s sauces, so after checking the dates I bought a few jars to put to one side ready for BBQ’s in the Spring / Summer, you know I like my marinades. It was really busy and I was quite surprised it seemed to take ages, when I was leaving I received a message from Peppa kindly inviting me, Anna and Diane for lunch at 12.30, it was now 12.05 and when I say I had got dressed, well, I had an old top, old fleece, jeans and Ugg boots, not expecting to see anyone I knew and fitting in really well with the Oz “scruffy” look which frequents Aldi. I text Diane quickly and invited her and knew it was going to be a rush, but I managed, I threw most things in the freezer and got everything away then took hair out of pony tail and put on nicer less scruffy clothes.

Peppa had invited Kerrie, Sally, Lesley, Diane and I, Owen is still working from home so he joined us, it was a laugh as usual and poor Peppa got some stick after Kerrie’s Sing Star Party last week, we will just say she was entertaining on the night and a little unwell the following day. I was a good girl and didn’t have wine as I was picking, Tom, Jason and Anna up in Frankston and was tired after my earlier starts to take Tom to TAFE.

After picking everyone up we got back, ate tea and Anna got ready for a night out on Main Street, Mornington with Dan, Lesley’s eldest son, she is going out with Lou the middle son tomorrow. They are both nice lads so she will be fine, probably drunk and late back, but definitely fine. They have been here a while and will take her to the nicer places. Jason and I are just having a rest after a busy week, we have made no plans for tomorrow as the weather is not going to be great again, so will see how it goes.

Today we found out that our favourite little girl Millie is going to have a baby brother at Christmas, this is great news for Paul and Hayley and we are all really pleased for them both.
