Friday and the CBD

After not a great night’s sleep due to the storms we eventually prized ourselves out of bed at about 9.30, we had planned to get up earlier to give us longer in the CBD, but it was not going to happen. We were all ready by about 10.30 and set off up the Nepean and Beach Road to the city. First stop was Queen Victoria Market (http://www.qvm.com.au/home.php) where Anna bought a compulsory pair of Ugg boots.

Then on to the Eureka Skydeck (http://www.eurekaskydeck.com.au/index.asp), our ears popped going up in the life which got to the 88th floor in 38 seconds. The views were amazing, but it was really busy and we didn’t bother waiting for the edge which had over 1 hour wait and as Anna wanted to hit the shops we didn’t want to waste time in a queue.

We eventually arrived home just before 7, just in time to go to Hayley and Paul’s for a Mexican which was delicious, Hayley must have been cooking all day, we had Nachos, chilli, rice, tacos, tortillas, Mexican veg, spicy chicken and mince, salad, sour cream, assorted salsa and cheese she had even done a mushroom pasta for Anna. The kids loved it and as usual ate loads. About 10 the kids wandered down home and Moo and Sam went to bed.

When we got home we had drunken skype chat with Robin and Andy and got to bed about 2ish.
