Sunday – We can food shop at last

Jason and I were up and off, the Good Guys opened at 10 and we were there when it opened, we bought the washer, fridge/freezer and a thing that you plug into your lap top and it gives you TV channels, on our way back to the house we called at Aldi and did a shop, it was great that we had food and cleaning products all quite cheap too. We then installed the fridge and washer had lunch and then we all set off into Mornington as I wanted some more drawer and cupboard protectors, we had a wander as it was quite a nice day, we were not long though as the shopping centre is not very big so I didn’t get the protectors. We then set of to Dan Murphy’s in Frankston, I LOVE that shop, it is just so fab and really cheap, look it up on the internet and see the offers, on the way back to the house we called into a shopping precinct we had previously seen, it reminded me of the furniture shops at junction 26, so we had a run in just to see what shops were there.

On our travels we have seen a furniture shop called Sydney’s which advertised cheap furniture, there was one here, so we left the kids in the car for 5 mins and had a look, it was really cheap and looked ok too, they did all sorts of furniture packages, you could buy a bedroom with a queen bed, 2 bedside tables and a tall boy chest and some even came with a mirror, there is a sale on at the moment and the cheapest bedroom package is $899 and the most expensive only $1499, they also had sofas starting at $399. We will definitely be going back to that shop. I am not sure my body can cope with the air bed and deck chairs for another 5 weeks.

Back to the house then as Sam and Tom wanted to go out on their skateboards, Jason and I read the Sunday papers and then I did pizza and garlic bread for tea, out of my freezer and into my oven. I have some chicken for tomorrow’s tea, but we might have to do something special as it is Jason’s 40th birthday. We had another early night as Jason needed to be up early to get the car back into the city for 8 o clock. We are back to being a no car family again, so I need to study the bus routes tomorrow.
