Wednesday 16th

I didn’t get up and make Jason his breakfast this morning, I was still not impressed that he left the apartment at 8.15 and walked back through the door just before 5.45 yesterday, that was a long day (9 hours) for me with the kids who are now bored of the city and driving me mad, in our 2 bedroom apartment which is not big enough to swing a cat, they don’t want to go anywhere and when we do they just complain, we don’t have enough room in the apartment so anytime spent there is not great either and the time spent here seems to be getting longer and longer, due to them fighting and complaining.

We were all up this morning but by the time we had all had our showers and done our hair etc in our one bathroom, it was nearly 10.30 when we left the apartment, we headed to the bank where I needed to pick up a bank cheque for the bond and first month’s rent, Tom had been complaining that he wanted some more spot stuff, he had been complaining for days, but as we are in the city everything is more expensive so I was looking for a particular pharmacy which I had heard was cheaper than most. We eventually found Price Right and it reminded us of boots, selling everything and with a good choice, we got spot wash, spot toner, moisturiser for me and more shampoo, as I think the entire building is using ours we are going through it that quick. The lady in the bank very kindly commented that I didn’t look old enough to have 3 children let alone a 16 year old, when I blushed and thanked her kindly, she then went on to tell me to give it 6 months in the sun and I would, on the back of that I was desperate to get more moisturiser and some good stuff at that.

We then headed back to the apartment put our shopping away and met Jason to go to the MICM office to pick up the keys to our rental, it wasn’t far, just over the Yarra on the Southbank, they were very good, very professional, we have agreed a date for the cleaners to go in and clean for us, that we need to water the seeded grass in the garden, which is currently just dirt and got our keys and the car remotes for the garage – one each of those, just need to organise a car or two now.

As we were much quicker than expected, we walked back along the Southbank and sat in one of the river cafes and had a beer, although it only forecast 20 degrees today it is much hotter than that, Jason left me and the kids finishing our drinks to get back to work, then when the kids were asked what now, they wanted to go back to the room and in all honestly there is only so much of the sun is burning my eyes, the sun is burning my head, the sun is burning my eyes the sun is burning my head that you can take. But for the 15 mins Jason was there and the kids behaved it was lovely just watching the world go by, it is strange to think that we are now at the end of Autum and Winter is just about to start, it really has been like a lovely summers day

Now we do have aircon in the room but it only works when the key is in the lock by the door, so when we are out it doesn’t work, it is like an oven in here at the moment, Moo and Sam are each sat on their beds for nipping and punching one and other on the walk back and I am laid on the bed with the curtains drawn trying to keep out some of the sun, if housekeeping had been I would be semi naked it is that hot, but as they haven’t I am just sat here suffering. It is 2.55 and I am going to finish this and make the kids go somewhere as I cannot sit here for the next few hours baking.
